Bronze Gaisce Participants Coastal Hike!

This is great value for Gaisce participants.
It’s a there n’ back walk  on flat ground approx 13 km each way.

 

Day 1- Get DUBLIN CITY BUS 84 (or private bus ) to NEWCASTLE  and we will meet you there.

DO NOT COME DIRECTLY TO WICKLOW TOWN!
We will take your bags to Wicklow while all the students walk to Wicklow. Ian or Trish will accompany you on the walk if you need help.

Day 2- Leave hostel at 10.00 a.m. and walk back to Newcastle. One of our helpers can accompany the Bronze participants and their leader if needed.

Silver Gaisce Hikes!

Day 1- Get DUBLIN CITY BUS 84 (or private bus ) to NEWCASTLE  and we will meet you there.

DO NOT COME DIRECTLY TO WICKLOW TOWN!
We will take your bags to Wicklow while all the students walk to Wicklow. Ian or Trish will accompany you on the walk if you need help.

Day 2 - Leave hostel by minibus for Mountain Hike . Ian will accompany the Silvers and their leader if you need help.

Day 3 -Take the coastal path back to Newcastle as the Bronzes had done the previous day.We meet you in Newcastle with your bags.

Stay over night at Captain Halpin’s Bunkhouse in Wicklow Town

FREE BAGGAGE TRANSFER

Your bags- We provide free baggage transfer between Newcastle and Wicklow Town for groups (min.10 participants)

Both on the outward and return trips.

Plenty of ideas if you are aiming for your bronze, silver and gold medals. We welcome Gaisce participants with open arms.

Option 1
Transfer directly to Wicklow Town  via Bus Eireann 133.

Please note Bus Eireann advise advance notice when travelling in groups.

Check in to hostel – leave backpacks

Do a there and back coastal hike along Murrough to Kiloughter. approx. 9km.
Time approx: 2 hours continuous walking
